Raising Funds

We would like to thank the many people and organizations that are lending their generous support to SHARE. Various initiatives have raised over $200,000 and engaged over 900 people in making a difference - from equipping libraries, establishing pen pal programs, renovating classrooms, creating reading exchanges, and training teachers - all in an effort to empower young African girls through education. SHARE has raised funds to support literacy in a variety of ways: • Fundraising events • Light for Learning DVD campaign • Prize monies - Shannon donates 100% of all youth contest winnings directly to SHARE • Speaking engagements - Shannon donates all speaking honorariums directly to SHARE • Grants • Walk-a-thons and Dance-a-thons
