jenna bailey.JPG

Each year the Junior class at Laurel School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, is in charge of putting on a dance during the dreary winter months and, as class president, Junior Jenna Bailey (17) was put in charge of organizing.  Jenna presented the idea of donating $2 of every $10 ticket to an organization of the class's choice.  The choice was unanimous- The Laurel Junior class chose to donate 20% of ticket sales to SHARE in Africa. The class took particularly to SHARE's dedication to working with adolescent girls in Tanzania. And so, on February 12, 2011, 350 students packed into Laurel's gym decorated like the African jungle to enjoy a night of dancing and supporting a great organization! In total, the Laurel Junior Class raised $700 for SHARE, and Jenna noted that "everyone is excited to see the continued progress this wonderful organization will achieve with this donation".
