Justina Rwebogora, SHARE Coordinator, Kiteyagwa Primary School

Miss Justina is the Head Mistress of the Kiteyagwa Primary School, Bukoba, Tanzania. She is responsible for convincing the mothers to allow their daughters to attend the SHARE program. In August 2008, Justina and Shannon held 3 parent meetings to explain the value of educating girls and how participating in the SHARE program would ultimately help their daughter, their family, and their community.

Miss Justina Rwebogora, headmistress of the school and SHARE coordinator, is very pleased with the results of the SHARE program and noticed measureable improvement in the girls’ progress. “This year 6 SHARE girls did well on the National Primary Leaving Examination,” noted Miss Justina.

Miss Justina is working on empowering the girls through literacy. “To help the SHARE girls, I have been dealing with pronunciation dialogues, dramatizing as well as giving them English exercises according to their age.”
